How to reach São Carlos

The conference takes place in São Carlos, state of São Paulo, Brazil. São Carlos is about 230 kms away from the city of São Paulo.

If you come from abroad, International flights first reach São Paulo International Airport "Guarulhos-Cumbica". From São Paulo airport you should take a shuttle bus, or a taxi to Tiete bus Terminal (Terminal Rodoviário Tietê), in a 40 minutes trip.

Many domestic flights to São Paulo city arrive in the Congonhas airport, from there you also should take a a shuttle bus, or a taxi to Tiete bus Terminal (Terminal Rodoviário Tietê)

In the Tietê Bus Terminal (Terminal Rodoviário Tietê), there are hundreds of shuttle buses from São Paulo to other brazilian cities. From there you should take a shuttle bus to São Carlos (a 3:30 hours trip). You can choose between two shuttle companies: Empresa Cruz and Viação Cometa: the shuttle buses run between 6 am and 11 pm, about every half an hour. Notice that the shuttle routes can stop in other cities or restaurants along the route: make sure that you will leave the shuttle in São Carlos.

There are also a few domestic flights arriving at Viracopos airport in Campinas city: the advantage is that Campinas is closer to São Carlos (2 hours by shuttle). Once you arrive there, you should take a shuttle bus to Campinas Bus Terminal and from there take a shuttle bus to São Carlos city. There are two shuttle companies: Empresa Cruz (seven shuttles each day, between 6:30 am and 10 pm) and Viação Cometa (five shuttles each day, between 6:30 am and 8 pm, except sundays and saturdays, when there are only three).
